Together with Yuliana, they founded the annual Southern California Tango Championship Festival and Competition. For several years he has helped facilitate seamless execution of the tango competition, and he now joins us this year as the Competition Coordinator. In this role, he will be responsible for managing all the logistics of our competitors during the entire event.
For many years Brian has been a leading tango instructor and dancer in the Los Angeles tango community. His background in various dance forms along with his passion for learning equips him with unorthodox strategies for the most avid tango students. He is most noted for his unique understanding of biomechanics and useful imagery for tango dancers. Brian and his former partner Yuliana are the only couple to win two Tango Salon US Championships (2010 & 2011) and to make the finals at the Mundial World Championship in Buenos Aires 4 years in a row! They are also the only US couple to ever place at Tango World Championship by taking home the bronze medal in Salon category in 2011.
